One-Line Bio

Giving A Big Voice To Little Friends

Biography

The Critter Connection, Inc., is a non-profit group dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned and neglected guinea pigs. Located in Durham, Connecticut, the rescue was started in early 2004 when its founder, Cindy Kuester, realized that abandoned guinea pigs in our state had nowhere to go.

The rescue has already taken in more than 650 abandoned guinea pigs. We are dedicated to educating pet owners in the proper care of guinea pigs, providing valuable information about their unique dietary, housing, and health needs. Throughout the year, we sponsor Adoption and Care Seminars throughout the state.

This blog was launched in response to requests from our adopters and donors to share stories, offer tips and such for humans who own (errrr...are enslaved by) guinea pigs, and let them know what's going on with small animal rescue in general.

All posts are written by Whitney Potsus, the rescue's VP, except where indicated otherwise.
